MESSAGE FROM OUR MINISTER DEBBIE
Dear Friends
In this month of February that speaks of love and justice we are
reminded that the Bible tells us we love because God first loved us (1
John 4:19) and it is God’s example of love revealed in Jesus Christ
that moves our hearts to love our neighbours as ourselves. God’s love
is powerful not passive and can transforms us and give us a better
understanding of how God takes great care and creativity in his love.
How can we do the same in our love? What does it look like to take
great care and love for a family member or friend struggling with
mental health or to talk to a difficult neighbour? How do we forgive
those who have hurt us and how do we listen well and offer support?
We love because God calls us to love. When we follow God’s
commands we have unfailing love. We put on love and respect (1
Corinthians 13:1-13) and in this month we look for signs of new life.
We focus on light, love and hope as we go forward on our journeys,
praying that God will give us the strength and passion to be able to
love and serve effectively.
God bless love Debbie
