Dear Friends
At Christmas we celebrate God’s greatest gift. God comes amongst us as one of us in Jesus Christ. The Christ-child of Bethlehem has come to save us from our sins and to bring us back to God. The work that Jesus Christ completed in his glorious person “Emmanuel, God with us,” made a full approval to the claims of law and justice on behalf of all those who shall eventually enter their Father’s House.
The words in the carol ‘Tidings of Comfort and Joy’ tell us that God is with us to comfort us in our sorrows and to bring joy to the world. Is there anything in this world compared to entering a New Year on the heart of the unsearchable love of Jesus Christ?! So, may we find in our joys and in our sorrows the fullness of God’s blessing this year and every new year.
“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life,
nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things
to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything
else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the
love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 8:38-39)
