MESSAGE FROM OUR MINISTER DEBBIE

Dear Friends

The Easter holiday and celebrations have passed but the celebrations continue as we have an awesome God who offers us faith, hope, joy and love in Jesus Christ.  The month of May has much to offer us in terms of May celebrations with holidays and events.  However, the greatest celebration this month, I believe, is Ascension Day (Thursday 14th ).  This day marks Jesus’ bodily ascent into heaven fulfilling his promise to send the Holy Spirit (at Pentecost) and establishing his reign as Messiah.

The completion of Jesus’ earthly ministry offers us hope and assurance of his ongoing presence and intercession for believers.  Ascension Day is a reminder to us of Jesus’ promise of future glory.  Jesus has conquered death and promises eternal life (Acts 1:9-11).  So in this season may we embrace the spirit of new life and hope and continue to grow in understanding, grace, wisdom and love through the power of the Holy Spirit in service to one another and our neighbours.
