MESSAGE FROM OUR MINISTER DEBBIE
Dear Friends
Being salt and light in the world can be a challenge especially when many may find change difficult. We read in the New Testament of the Bible that Jesus Christ calls us to follow him and to go and make disciples of all nations. Walking the way of Jesus means we cope with changes as they happen because in Church we keep our focus on Jesus. We work out our relationship with God in Jesus Christ and are equipped through the power of the Holy Spirit to use our gifts, skills and talents wisely. Wherever we are God calls us to be salt and light in our communities and we are to keep our salt tasty ensuring our light shines to reflect God’s nature to other people.
To be equipped to do this well we seek God’s guidance through prayer and the reading of scripture. We can also go for prayer walks, get involved in house groups and keep a prayer journal because when we seek God’s wisdom great things can happen. As the Apostle Paul reminds us all that we do in service to one another is done in love. (1 Corinthians chapter 13)
May we be lights that shine in our communities as we care for others in humble loving service and share our faith stories.
God bless love Debbie
